Technical product markings provide information about safety, protection class, installation, environmental requirements and operating conditions.

CE

Manufacturer or importer declaration that the applicable EU requirements are met. CE is not an independent certification mark.

ENEC

Voluntary European certification mark for electrical products and components.

VDE

Voluntary testing and certification mark for electrical products.

GS

Voluntary “Tested Safety” mark for products on the German market.

⏚ Protection Class I

Accessible conductive parts are connected to the protective earth conductor.

▣ Protection Class II

Double or reinforced insulation; no protective earth connection is provided.

Ⅲ Protection Class III

Protection by safety extra-low voltage, for example SELV.

IP20

Basic protection against finger contact and larger solid foreign objects; no specified water protection.

IP44

Protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against splashing water.

IP54

Dust-protected and protected against splashing water.

IP65

Dust-tight and protected against water jets.

IP67

Dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion.

IP68

Dust-tight; suitability for continuous immersion only according to the manufacturer’s specifications and defined conditions.

Maximum permitted ambient temperature where it differs from the usual reference value.

tc

Measuring point or maximum permitted enclosure temperature of control gear.

Do Not Cover

The luminaire or control gear must not be covered with thermal insulation material.

Minimum Distance

Minimum permitted distance between the spotlight and the illuminated surface.

Ceiling Mounting

Indicates an approved ceiling mounting position.

Not Dimmable

The luminaire or light source must not be operated using a dimmer.

Material identification supporting separation and recycling by material type.

Energy Labelling

Energy-efficiency marking in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.

Protective Gloves

Hand protection is recommended during installation or replacement.

Eye Protection

Suitable eye protection is required for certain light sources or work activities.

UV Radiation

Replace Damaged Protective Cover

A broken or damaged cover must be replaced before further operation.

Disconnect Power Before Work

Installation and lamp replacement may only be carried out with the power supply switched off and secured against reconnection.
